Oven Roasted Fries

I made these for our Mother's Day dinner to go alongside of burgers and they were a hit. We ate on them over the next few days as well and they heated up great.

Prep Time: 30 Minutes | Cook Time: 40 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes (russet are what we used), I did not peel mine but you could and cut into matchsticks

  • 1/2 tbsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp oregano (you could substitute rosemary or thyme here as well)

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  1. Fill a large bowl with cold water and place your cut potatoes in. Let them soak for 15-30 minutes at room temp

  2. Preheat oven to 425 and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper

  3. Rinse and drain, dry your potatoes as much as you can

  4. In a small bowl combine all of your seasonings

  5. Place potatoes in a bowl or laid out on your baking sheet and sprinkle your seasoning over, evenly coating. I held off on the herb until the after adding the seasonings, but you could do them at the same time.

  6. Drizzle with your oil

  7. Try to leave some space between each potato on your baking sheet

  8. Bake for 15 minutes and then flip fries

  9. Bake for an additional 15-20 more minutes or until golden and crispy

  10. I also broiled the potatoes at the end for a few minutes to get a nice golden brown
