Our growing practices involve human scale methods that allow us to focus on the health of the soil.  We do not consider ourselves separate from nature - we take responsibility for our existence.  Through organic practices, we build soil that supports microbial life and nutrient-dense plants.  If that is too much science for you - just know that you can trust we are focused on growing the healthiest and tastiest food possible.

Human scale, by hand.

We don't own a tractor.

We do this by hand, because we prefer to keep ourselves connected to the Earth.  We do not till, but rather use a broadfork to loosen and aerate the soil.   Every inch of our growing space has been created with hand tools and human strength.

Nature First.

All around us are examples of how nature intends for things to grow.  We study these systems and build ours to mimic them.  We never use synthetic chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides.  Our soil is always protected by living plants or mulch.  We plant flowers to attract pollinators and beneficial insects.  You will always see life dancing around our gardens, down to the soil itself.

Taste, and only taste.

Most varieties of produce at your typical store are grown to maximize profits.  You can taste it.  Companies have sacrificed flavor and nutrition in exchange for longer shelf-life.  We carefully choose each variety based on how big we smile when we eat it.  Real food should be that simple.

Small Farms, Big Impact.

We believe that small-scale farms can help to provide a solution to our current crises of environment and food security.  With your help, we can build a local network of small farms that provide resiliency in the face of supply chain failures.  A community built around supporting small farms is not only healthier, but more financially secure.  Why not put your money in your neighbor's pocket and watch them thrive?
