Skillet Chicken with Greens

I absolutely love a meat with creamy sauce meal. This one comes together easily and tastes great.

Prep Time: 5 Minutes | Cook Time: 20 Minutes


  • For Chicken:

    • 1 lb chicken breasts

    • Salt

    • Pepper

    • 1 tbsp butter

    • Flour for coating

  • For Sauce:

    • 2 tbsp of butter

    • 1 shallot or small onion; diced

    • 4 cloves of garlic, minced

    • 1 ½ cups chicken stock

    • 1 cup heavy cream

    • 3 cups spinach

    • Garlic salt

    • ½ cups parmesan cheese, grated


  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper

  2. Dredge each piece in flour to coat

  3. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium heat

  4. Add chicken and cook 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (165 temp)

  5. Remove to a clean plate.

  6. To the same pan, add 2 tbsp of butter, shallot and garlic.  Cook 2-3 minutes.

  7. Add your stock and scrape up the brown bits, increase heat and let reduce to half

  8. Stir in cream, cook for a couple of minutes to thicken

  9. Add spinach and cook until wilted, sprinkle with garlic salt

  10. Add your chicken back to the pan and spoon sauce over each piece

  11. Top with parmesan and serve
