These are an easy dish to throw together for a weeknight. The steaks come out tender, juicy and full of flavor.
Prep Time: 5 Minutes | Cook Time: 30 Minutes
Ingredients
4 pork shoulder steaks – about 6 oz each
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp paprika
¼ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp thyme
1 tbsp olive oil
½ cup onion, sliced
1 ½ cups mushrooms
1/3 cup of vegetable stock (water or red wine could also be used)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350
Season steaks with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder
Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat and add pork steak and cook for 2 minutes per side.
Transfer steaks to a plate
Add mushrooms and onions into skillet and cook for 2 minutes
Add pork chops back to the pan, add stock
Sprinkle a little more salt, pepper and thyme. Cover with foil
Bake for 20-25 minutes, covered.
