Broccoli is not Nick's favorite vegetable and I love broccoli, so I'm always looking for new ways to make the broccoli. This recipe got Nick's stamp of approval and was super easy to pull together. There are a couple of optional ingredients, so you can make it how you want!
Prep Time: 5 Minutes | Cook Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients
1 ½ lbs of broccoli florets (about 2 medium size heads of broccoli)
4 tbsp EVOO or avocado oil
4 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional if you don’t like a little heat)
¾ tsp kosher salt
2 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 425
Chop your broccoli into small/medium size florets
Place broccoli on a sheet pan with parchment paper (I also like to do mine in a cast iron baking pan)
Spread the broccoli out onto your pan and drizzle two tbsp of your oil of choice, toss the broccoli until it is evenly coated with the oil. Spread out again into a single layer
Roast on the middle rack of the oven for ten minutes
While broccoli is roasting, in a small dish, mix two tbsp of your oil of choice, garlic, pepper, red pepper (optional), and salt
Once your ten minutes are done, remove pan from the oven, and pour on your seasonings. Using a spatula, toss your broccoli until evenly coated. Return to oven for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and drizzle with your lemon juice and/or top with your parmesan cheese. Toss and enjoy!
